At Mattress Direct Online, we believe that the delivery of your mattress is an important service.  Therefore, we provide shipping including free Standard Delivery to your door, anywhere in the 48 contiguous United States that is road accessible, at no charge, with the exception of certain circumstances listed below.


Nationwide Delivery

We have carefully selected our shipping partners due to their extraordinary attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction.


Nationwide Accessory Delivery:

We offer free shipping on all accessories offered on our website via UPS Ground to the contiguous 48 states. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is available; please call for shipping rates.

Nationwide Mattress Delivery Options:

Nationwide Delivery Process:

  • After you place your order, if the items you ordered are not already in-stock, they will be ordered new from the manufacturer and will arrive to our warehouse in approximately 7-10 business days.
  • Once your order arrives to our warehouse, it will be inspected for damage and defects and will be packaged for shipment within two business days.
  • After our freight carrier has picked up your shipment, we will contact you via email with tracking information for the shipment.
  • Once the shipment reaches your area, our freight carrier or local delivery partner will call you to set up an appointment window for your delivery (typically four hours in length) at your earliest convenience.
  • If you encounter any difficulties with your delivery, please contact us by telephone and our customer service representatives will work with our delivery partners to resolve any issues.


Limitations and Restrictions

  • Delivery to locations within the United States that are only accessible by ferry or air or to other remote destinations is available at an extra charge; please call our customer service representatives for more information before placing your order.
  • While free Full Service Setup offers are selected by default, free removal or frame offers must be manually selected when adding an item to your shopping cart.
  • Removal of your old mattress is subject to the discretion of the persons delivering your mattress if they deem it to be unsanitary or otherwise hazardous to handle.
  • Removal of waterbed mattresses is restricted to those that have been properly drained prior to your delivery appointment.
  • If you have paid for removal service and your old mattress is not removed during your delivery, we will promptly refund your entire removal fee.

The following limitations and restrictions also apply:

  • Delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico is available at an extra charge; please call our operators for more information before placing your order.
  • We do not accept orders from outside the United States at this time.
  • Delivery beyond the threshold floor of any building by stairs is only available for standard delivery at an extra charge. Please call our operators for more information. If you do not have an elevator in your building capable of moving the mattress to your floor and you have not made special arrangements before your order has left our warehouse, your mattress will not be moved past the threshold floor of your building during delivery under the standard delivery option.
  • Full service delivery allows for movement of your mattress set up one flight of stairs. If you have more than one flight of stairs in your home or apartment, please contact our operators for more information, as there may be additional charges for this delivery. If you have not made arrangements before your order has left our warehouse, your mattress will not be moved up more than one flight of stairs during delivery under the full service setup (and full service setup with removal) option.
  • Please choose your shipping options carefully. It may not be possible to accommodate change requests once your product is in transit. Should it be possible to make these changes, a $40 change fee will be assessed upon the accommodation. This fee is what is charged to us by our shipping partner to make these changes once your product is in transit.
  • Delivery requiring the use of roads with weight or height restrictions is available but require notification at the time of your order so that alternative transportation options may be used. Otherwise, your delivery appointment will be rescheduled to the next available time that our freight carrier is able to schedule the use of a vehicle which meets the size restrictions.
  • For shipments with Standard Delivery, If you are unable to accept delivery of your mattress within three days of the first appointment time offered to you by our freight carrier without providing us with advance notice of delivery date constraints before shipment, a warehousing fee of $50 will be charged.

Standard Delivery

  • Includes your mattress being removed from our truck and delivered inside your door.
  • Expedited delivery compared to Full Service Setup.
  • Does not include any setup or un-packaging of the product or removal of any trash associated with the product.

Full Service Setup

  • Includes delivery of your product, setup of the frame and mattress set in your home, and disposal of all trash associated with the product.
  • Transit Time:
    • Approximately 2-10 days
  • Cost:
    • Free on all purchases $1299 and higher in value.
    • Available on all other mattress sets for $59.99.

Full Service Setup + Removal

  • Free with all purchases $1899 and higher in value
  • Includes everything that full service setup entails, plus removal of your old mattress and box spring set.
  • Transit Time:
    • Approximately 2-10 days
  • Cost:
    • $80 when upgrading from Full Service Setup
    • $139.99 when upgrading from Standard Delivery
