Comfort Rating

We carefully developed our 11 point comfort rating system to help you better determine which mattress best suits your needs. The comfort designations for our products were developed to give you, the customer a gauge on how soft, or comfortable our products are in relation to each other. Please use these ratings as a gauge to help you find products in the range of your personal comfort. It is important to remember that there is a difference between comfort and support. Comfort Rating of 1
A mattress with a comfort rating of 1 is virtually non-existant in the mattress market today. A mattress at this level would provide you with about the same comfort as sleeping on the floor. There are no mattresses at this level in our current lineup.

Comfort Rating of 1.5 to 3
If you are looking for a very firm sleeping surface with very little give, then a mattress with this rating would be perfect for you. These mattresses are going to feel firm to very firm.

Comfort Rating of 3.5 to 5
If you are looking for a firmer mattress, but don't want to end up with a bed that is too hard, a mattress at this level is going to be what you are looking for. The mattresses at this level will contain some of our softer cushion firms and our firmer plush models.

Comfort Rating of 5.5 to 7.5
Not sure whether you want a very soft mattress, and you don't want to end up with something too soft? This is the level for you. Many people find that mattresses at this level are the happy medium between soft and firm. This is our most popular comfort level.

Comfort Rating of 8 to 9.5
If you always find yourself trying to come up with ways to make your bed softer and love to have your bed surround you in softness, then a mattress at this level would be perfect for you. These beds are very soft. They are mostly pillow top and euro top mattresses.

Comfort Rating of 10
A mattress at this level is going to provide an enveloping softness that will give the impression of sleeping on a cloud. If you are looking for the pinnacle of comfort, a mattress with a rating of a 10 is going to be what you are looking for.

Comfort Rating of 11
This mattress would give you the feeling of sleeping on top of a very soft pillow. While there may be products that exist in today's marketplace that will give you this feeling, they compromise the support your body needs to such an extreme that they would not be a healthy sleeping surface. For that reason, you will not find anything that soft in our product listings
